Baby Smiles as She Hears Parents' Voices for First Time

The moment a baby was able to hear for the first time was captured on video and her smile says it all. Baby Francesca is one of the youngest infants to receive cochlear implants at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada. Francesca wasn't passing her hearing exams and tested positive for cCMV, a virus that can cause progressive hearing loss. It was determined she was a good candidate for the implants.
