Baghdad Zoo Staff Get Creative in Keeping Animals Cool in Soaring Heat

A tired lion doesn’t bother to roar, a bear fiddles with frozen fish. The animals at Iraq’s Baghdad Zoo were certainly uncomfortable after temperatures hit 113 degrees over the weekend. And so, zoo staff were determined to get creative cool down the animals and keep them comfortable, despite the oppressive heat. The zoo used to be the largest and most popular in the Middle East.
