Angela Lansbury Dies at 96

Beloved actress Dame Angela Lansbury, whose career in Hollywood and on Broadway spanned 75 years, has died at the age of 96. According to a statement from her family,  Lansbury died peacefully at home in Los Angeles, just five days before her 97th birthday. The British-born legend is best known for playing the intrepid detective Jessica Fletcher in “Murder, She Wrote.” She also played memorable roles in such classics as “The Manchurian Candidate” and Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast.”
