The incident began when the driver, Kai Deberry-Bostick, was stopped by police. She got out of her car to talk to the officer. She ripped the caution tape, then got back in her car and took off, allegedly hitting the officer. The 28-year-old Deberry-Bostick was a cheerleader at Bowie State University.
