Boston Cops Sing Their Own ‘Carpool Karaoke’ Rendition of ‘God Bless America’

Two Boston police officers sang ‘God Bless America’ in their squad car recently and their rendition went viral. Video of officers Kim Tavares and Stephen McNulty singing the patriotic song was the perfect way to kick off the Independence Day holiday, and it also happens to be the 100th anniversary of the song. The standard was written by Irving Berlin during World War I, but only became popular decades later when singer Kate Smith performed it.
