California Firefighter Fakes Blaze at His House to Propose to Girlfriend

Firefighter Zach Steele, 30, staged an elaborate scene to ask his girlfriend to marry him in the middle of a family party. Zach and Maddison are old flames who have been together for eight years. To propose, Zach faked a fire at his own house by placing remote-operated smoke machines in the attic. Zach says Maddison calmed down when he removed his mask and she saw his face.
