California Golden State Killer's Hearing Took Place in a Ballroom

The Golden State Killer has pleaded guilty to the charges against him. Former police officer Joseph James DeAngelo, 74, wore a face shield to the proceedings, which took place in a ballroom to accommodate a large crowd while adhering to social distancing guidelines. DeAngelo took a plea to 13 murders and more than 62 rapes that took place in Northern California between 1973 and 1986. DeAngelo was arrested in 2018 with the help of groundbreaking DNA technology.
