California Grandma Scammed Out of $14,000 by Caller Who Impersonated Grandson

Grandma Shirley says her nightmare began when she heard her grandson's voice on the phone saying he was in an accident and needed money. She says another person, who identified as her grandson's attorney, told her she needed to pay $9,000 for the charges against her grandson to be dropped. After she paid, another call came in and that person demanded $5,000 dollars, which Shirley also paid. After calling her grandson, she realized she got scammed. Inside Edition's Steven Fabian has more.
