California Hostage Shot Dead by LAPD Officers

A disturbing video shows the fatal shooting of a knife-wielding suspect and the women he was using as a human shield in Los Angeles. Responding police officers arrived to find Guillermo Perez, 32, with a bloody knife in his hand. Cops demanded he put the knife down. But instead of doing so, he grabbed Melyda Corado. That’s when the officers opened fire. Now, Corado’s son is speaking out about the incident. "It hurts me so much knowing that I will never know how to see, hear, or talk to my mother again because the police didn’t know how to handle a situation properly," he said.
