Cop Saves 8-Year-Old Choking on Piece of Hard Candy

Ethan Cante, 8, was playing with friends when he choked on a piece of hard candy. Officer Raul Vega of the El Monte Police Department responded and rushed to get a LifeVac device out of his patrol car. The LifeVac is designed to clear the airways and resembles a plunger. Ethan started breathing but needed a larger LifeVac, which Vega then used.
