Cardi B’s ‘I Like It’ Video Is a Love Letter to Her Dominican Roots

Pop star Cardi B shot to fame with her hit “Bodak Yellow,” but in the recent video for her song ‘I Like It,’ the singer shares something more personal: her Dominican roots. “You will see several symbols of Dominican culture that are displayed in the video clearly and with good taste, so I think that this is what makes this so beautiful and so reflective of her ethnicity,” City College of New York professor Ramona Hernandez, who heads up the Dominican Studies Institute, told InsideEdition.com.
