The nation is on the move again, but getting where you want to go is getting pricey. Uber and Lyft can’t find enough drivers, which means long waits and more expensive rides. According to one report, carshare prices have jumped 40% since the pandemic, and in big cities like Los Angeles and New York, they’ve skyrocketed up to 80% higher. One auto executive said that his recent trip from Times Square to JFK International Airport cost $248 for a 45 minute ride - it usually costs $50 to $80.
