Chauvin Awaits Sentence as Attorney General Begins Minneapolis Police Probe

Convicted murderer and ex-cop Derek Chauvin spent his first full day in prison after the jury took less than eleven hours to deliberate their verdict. He is on suicide watch, and being held in an isolation cell like this one in the administrative control unit of the Oak Park Heights maxim security prison 25 miles from Minneapolis. The prison is said to be escape-proof, and was featured in an episode of "Lockdown." Segregated prisoners like Chauvin are allowed outside for just one hour a day.
