Meier Samuels has spent most of his young life in the hands of doctors at Connecticut Children's Hospital. He has been living with a disorder called familial dysautonomia, which only affects about 300 people worldwide, and mainly is present in people of Ashkenazi Jewish decent. "The phenomenal staff here saved his life more than once," Meier’s father, Menachem, told WFSB. Inside Edition Digital’s Stephanie Officer explains the innovative way doctors did it again.
