Convict Indicted in 1980 Rape and Murder of Florida Nurse Evelyn Fisher-Bamforth

Police in Florida say they solved a 42-year-old mystery. Evelyn Fisher-Bamforth, 32, was a nurse living in Miramar with her husband in 1980 when police say someone broke into her mobile home, raped and killed her. Police say DNA evidence led them to Ronald Eugene Richards, who lived in the same mobile home park as Evelyn. A grand jury indicted him for sexual battery and first-degree murder.
