Doctors in India are conducting tests to see the chances of conjoined newborn twin sisters surviving separation surgery. The twins share the same heart, connected from the chest to the stomach. Weighing in at 8 pounds, 8 ounces, doctors are unsure they will survive the surgery it takes to separate them. Some doctors say the chances of them surviving separation is almost impossible since the girls may be sharing other vital organs besides the heart.
