DNA Found on Vanilla Coke Leads to An Arrest In Cold Case Murder, Police Say

Police have arrested a man in the cold case of Sylvia Quayle who was found dead in her Cherry Hills, Colorado home in August 1981 by her father. Police say the 34-year-old was strangled, stabbed and shot. Authorities preserved hundreds of pieces of evidence. A key component was a rug found near her body which police say matched the DNA found on a discarded Vanilla Coke can belonging to David Anderson of Nebraska. He was arrested.
