Dog Survives Being Trapped in Cave With Bear for 3 Days

A dog named Charlie fell down an extremely narrow cave shaft and became stuck about 40 feet down. Waldens Creek Volunteer Fire Department says two rescuers descended into the cave to rescue the trapped hunting dog, but they found another animal they weren’t planning on — a 200-pound black bear. Despite sharing a cave with a bear, authorities say Charlie was hungry and a bit dehydrated, but otherwise in good condition.
