Dogs Honored for Their Military Service in Capitol Hill Ceremony

Summer is a 7-year-old yellow Labrador that spent time as a bomb-sniffing dog in Afghanistan and saved the lives of numerous Marines. Jag served with the U.S. Army for seven years before retiring in 2013. The canines, along with two of their friends, took the stage on Capitol Hill to accept a K-9 Medal of Courage in front of an appreciative audience.
