As an inferno rages in Los Angeles, it looked like an apocalyptic predawn commute for many in the city. Stunned motorists found hillsides ablaze as fire raced towards the homes of many of the city's rich and famous. New homeowners Christie and Mark Evans saw their dream house burned to the ground. Christie, who is 8 months pregnant, and her husband just closed on their home Friday. Tuesday night was supposed to be their first night staying in the house.
