Early Meteorite Is Salvaged From Fire at Brazil's National Museum
The Brazilian government is investigating a blaze that left behind few survivors at the country's National Museum. Visiting the facility to assess the damage, officials said they would allocate $2.5 million for its restoration. An 11,600-pound iron meteorite that was on display was not damaged in the blaze.
