Employee Who Organized Amazon Distribution Walk-Out Gets Fired

For millions of people on lockdown, Amazon has become a lifeline. But workers there say their lives are at risk. On Monday, workers at an Amazon distribution center on Staten Island staged a mass walk-out to protest working conditions they say are unsafe. Today, Chris Smalls, the assistant manager who organized the walk-out, was fired by the tech giant. Amazon said it was for allegedly breaking quarantine, not getting rid of a troublemaker.
