'Facts of Life' Star Charlotte Rae Dies at 92

Charlotte Rae, most famous for her role as Mrs. Garrett on "The Facts of Life" has died. Charlotte Rae Lubotsky was born in Milwaukee in 1926. She studied drama at Northwestern University before moving to New York to pursue an acting career. In the early 1970s she moved to Los Angeles, where she married and had two kids. She was soon cast as Mrs. Garrett, first as the housekeeper on "Diff'rent Strokes" before starring on "The Facts of Life."
