U.S. Teacher Sentenced to 14 Years Hard Labor in Russia Seeks Release

Marc Fogel was sentenced to 14 years of hard labor in Russia last month for having medical marijuana, drawing comparisons to WNBA star Britney Griner. But the 61-year-old was not mentioned in the proposed prisoner swap that could free Griner and former marine Paul Whelan. Secretary of State Antony Blinken never used Fogel's name when he spoke about efforts to free the other two Americans this week. Now, Fogel's family is demanding to know why the U.S. is seemingly ignoring his case.
