Farmers in France made a statement with a massive food giveaway. Potato farmers reportedly dumped 30 tons of spuds outside the National Assembly in Paris to protest an unpopular trade deal. Trade unions say the EU-Mercosur trade deal will hurt European farmers by giving an advantage to competition in South America. French farmers say the potato could just disappear in France if they can't afford to keep producing it.
