Fatal Shooting of 73-Year-Old Man Stuns Virginia Community

Just before 5:30 a.m. on October 20, 73-year-old Nelson Alexander stopped at an ATM in Falls Church, Virginia, before heading to work. An unknown gunman shot him to death. Police think the same gunman also stole a vehicle hours beforehand in Alexandria. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives is now offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the suspect’s arrest. Tips can be submitted anonymously.
