FDNY Dad Lee Ielpi Honors His Son’s Memory on 20th Anniversary of 9/11

Retired New York firefighter Lee Ielpi carried his firefighter son’s body from the rubble of the World Trade Center. “I'm not about to let him be forgotten,” Ielpi told Inside Edition Digital. He has devoted his life to ensuring no one forgets 9/11. He advocates for families of the victims, and he has traveled the world, educating students about 9/11. “One of the things that I do speak about when I go, I don't hold back. I'm not going to sugar coat,” he said.
