Fiona the Baby Hippo Turns 5 at the Cincinnati Zoo

Can you believe Fiona the Hippo is already 5 years old? Remember when Fiona first entered the spotlight, she was born at 29 pounds. That’s 25 pounds lighter than the lowest recorded birth weight for her species. She made an early arrival after her mom, 17-year-old Bibi, gave birth early Tuesday six weeks prematurely. Fiona celebrated her birthday with cake and a new children’s book in her honor.
