A former Nazi concentration camp guard is being deported from the United States. Jakiw Palij trained and worked at the Trawniki labor camp during World War II. The former guard came to the U.S. in 1949. After his identity was discovered, he was stripped of his American citizenship in 2003, but no country would take him. Now that Palij is headed for Germany, Efraim Zuroff of the Simon Wiesenthal Center said,"We hope a way can be found to prosecute him for his crimes."
