Fox News Hosts’ Texts to Mark Meadows on Jan 6 Pleaded Him to Make Trump Intervene

Donald Trump, Jr. tried to get his father, then-President Donald J. Trump, to halt the Jan. 6 Capitol riots as they were happening, according to newly-released text messages. “We need an Oval Office address. He has to lead now. It has gone too far and gotten out of hand,” Trump Jr. texted White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows. The texts were uncovered by the House Select Committee investigating the insurrection. Several top Fox News personalities also tried to get the president to intervene.
