In an op-ed in the Los Angeles Times, Dr. Jillian Horton says that she was inspired by a classic TV character while fighting for her patients’ lives during the COVID-19 pandemic. The real-life doctor says that Alan Alda’s character “Hawkeye Pierce” from the classic show “M.A.S.H.” gave her a “blueprint for survival” to get through “this war on coronavirus.” The show about the Korean War ran for 11 seasons.
