First Responders Perform CPR to Save Marathoner After He ‘Dies’

Experienced runner Phil Denson collapsed during a marathon in Mableton, Georgia, after suffering from a heart attack. Another runner gave the unconscious man chest compressions until police officers arrived. In a frantic effort to save the runner’s life, police officers took over and performed chest compressions on Denson for ten minutes. The stricken marathon man finally regained consciousness as he was taken to the hospital.
