Ghislaine Maxwell Sentenced to 20 Years for Sex-Trafficking Charges

Ghislaine Maxwell was sentenced to 20 years behind bars for sex trafficking charges. The 60-year-old former girlfriend of the late Jeffrey Epstein was convicted of obtaining underage girls for the billionaire. Back in December, Maxwell was convicted by a jury on five charges, including sex trafficking. Prosecutors described Maxwell as a "calculating, sophisticated, and dangerous criminal who preyed on vulnerable young girls and groomed them for sexual abuse."
