Golden State Killer Joseph DeAngelo Accused of Faking Frail State by Prosecutors

August 21, 2020

Former police officer Joseph DeAngelo, 74, also known as the Golden State Killer, has been sentenced to life without the possibility of parole for several rapes and murders he committed throughout the ‘70s and ‘80s. His plea deal spares him the death penalty, but also puts him before a group of his victims who have finally been given their chance to confront the rapist and murder face-to-face. Prosecutors accuse DeAngelo of playing up a “frail old man” act ahead of sentencing.
