Grandmother Recounts Desperate Escape During WWII Allied Invasion in Italy
It's been 75 years since the Allied forces invaded the Italian island of Sicily to remove the fascist regime that occupied the area during World War II. Cecilia Maltempi, now 85, lived through it and remembers everything she went through. Maltempi eventually left her homeland behind to build a better life in America, but she will never forget how her family struggled to survive or the brother who was lost to the war.
