Groom Accused of Sexually Assaulting Bridesmaid Days Before Pennsylvania Wedding

A new husband has been charged after allegedly sexually assaulting his wife's bridesmaid two days before the wedding. The wedding party was at the Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort in Pennsylvania on Aug. 30. The 29-year-old woman told police that after a day of drinking and playing on the river with the group, she returned to the inn. She told officers that she remembered being heavily intoxicated and waking up in the hotel locker room shower with the groom, 28-year-old Daniel Carney, on top of her.
