The new trailer for “The Little Mermaid” movie is generating extraordinary reactions, especially among young Black girls. Many of them are mesmerized by watching a cherished fairy-tale character who looks just like them. Twenty-two-year-old actress Halle Bailey stars as Ariel in Disney's new live-action film. But not everyone is happy to see a Black mermaid. The trailer has received more than 1.5 million dislikes on YouTube and racist remarks. However, Bailey says she's not focusing on the hate.
