Woman Hugs Dad of Daughter Whose Heart Is Now Hers

Katherine Schroeder-Herrmann recently met the family of her heart transplant donor, Desiree Burge. Video taken by the hospital at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio shows her hugging Desiree’s dad.  Katherine was born with a rare heart disease and has had more than 20 heart procedures including a heart transplant when she was 21 years old.  Thanks to the surgery, she’s been able to do things she previously couldn't like running a 5K.
