Homes Built With Non-Combustible Technology May Be Able to Withstand Wildfires

Firefighters battling the Caldor Fire out west were successful in keeping the wildfire from engulfing South Lake Tahoe, but the blaze still poses a significant threat to other areas. Ryan Ralos watched in horror as his family’s home burned to the ground on the news. After that, he discovered that there are specially built houses with technology that won’t ignite in a fire. Special foam bricks interlock and are filled with concrete, which Laurie Fisher of Phoenix Architectural Services says won’t burn.
