How School Buses Are Being Kept Safe in 1 New York County

The days of the crowded school bus are over. Frank Klein, head of safety for the Suffolk Transportation System in New York, showed us how he’s keeping kids safe. He says buses will be run at 50% capacity, with students sitting in a zigzag pattern, alternating seats to maximize space between them. Big, bold stickers are being placed on seats to show kids where they can and can’t sit. Siblings will be allowed to sit together.
