Victoria “Tori” Murden is the living embodiment of perseverance. In 1998, the American rower was hired by an Italian company to row across the Atlantic Ocean by herself. While on her voyage, she captured incredible video of her journey but after her boat capsized 11 times, she was forced to issue an SOS. Soon after she returned to the U.S. she spoke to Inside Edition about her journey. In 1999, Murden did become the first woman and first American to row solo across the Atlantic.
