When volunteers at an Arizona thrift store found a Purple Heart in a donation box, they knew they couldn’t just sell it. The medal is given to members of the military who have been wounded or killed while serving. Teresa was determined to find its rightful owner. The medal had a name on it, Erik Karl Blauberg, and Teresa learned he died in the 1980s. She was also able to find the names of his children, then she took to Facebook to find them. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.
