Hurricane Hilary Threatens West Coast With 145-MPH Winds

Heavy rain and wind is expected in Mexico and some southwestern US states as Hurricane Hillary continues in the Pacific. Forecasters believe the storm will weaken from a Category 4 hurricane before it reaches Mexico's Baja California peninsula. California has not seen a tropical storm since 1939, according to the National Weather Service. And if Hillary makes landfall at hurricane strength in California, it will be the first hurricane to hit the state since 1858.
