iCarly Reboot Addresses Jennette McCurdy’s Character Sam's Absence

iCarly is back! The show premiered on Paramount+ as a reboot featuring many of the original stars including Miranda Cosgrove, Jerry Trainor and Nathan Kress nine years later after the show ended its run on Nickelodeon. But Carly’s dynamic duo, Sam, is not part of this revival. Jennette McCurdy, the actress who played Sam, had previously announced she retired from acting. The show’s premiere addresses her absence.
