Invasive Yellow-Legged Hornets Spotted for First Time in US
The Georgia Department of Agriculture recently announced that it has detected the yellow-legged hornet in Savannah. It’s the first time the invasive species has been spotted in the United States. The hornets feast on honeybees, which aren’t able to defend themselves. Felicia Renick works at the Savannah Bee Company, and says she witnessed the hornets attacking bees from their apiary. “I was in shock,” she told Inside Edition Digital.
