Juul to Pay $440 Million Settlement Following Vape Investigation

After a two-year investigation about its sales practices and the marketing of its products, electronic cigarette maker Juul Labs agreed to pay almost $440 million. This will be split between 33 states and Puerto Rico. The smoking alternative, which was previously marketed to underage teens using social media, youthful influencers, and launch parties, has been blamed for the nation’s surge in teen vaping.
