The Omicron variant is ripping through New York City as COVID-19 cases are doubling almost every other day. Lines are hours-long for tests, and home test kits are in short supply. Broadway suffered a disruption that echoed the early days of the pandemic. At the show "Moulin Rouge," the audience was already seated when the performance was cancelled after some of the cast tested positive. Matt Berthot, a high school music teacher from Kansas, was in the audience with his students when it happened.
