Kids With Limb Differences Play Sports With Wounded Vets at Special Camp

August 2, 2019

Young athletes and their parents travel from far and wide to play ball at USA Patriots' 2019 Kids and Alumni Camp. The camp is taught by a group of wounded veterans who show kids with limb differences how to play sports. Kristy Filbrun drove her kids all the way from Ohio to Virginia Beach to take part in the camp. Parents like Filbrun say the camp inspires her kids to improve as athletes. One of the veterans at the camp, Josh Wege, says he teaches the kids "to pop that bubble that society has put on them as disabled."
