Kobe Bryant Mural May Be Painted Over

A business owner is fighting to keep a mural honoring late basketball star Kobe Bryant. Cecilia Moran owns Hardcore Fitness in Downtown Los Angeles. Her business has been home to a mural honoring the lives of Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gigi, who both died in a helicopter crash in 2020. She told KCBS her landlord wants the paintings on the building gone. An online petition was launched to save the artwork, which is considered so precious even vandals have avoided tagging it.
