Library Finds Bible So Small, a Magnifying Glass Is Needed to Read It

Library staff in Leeds, U.K., spent the Covid lockdown cleaning. While dusting shelves and opening boxes, they found a miniature Bible. It was printed in 1911 and is called the Chained Bible. No verses were skipped in this diminutive version of the Old and New Testaments, but even with 876 pages, the book only measures 1.9 inches by 1.3 inches. This microscale sacred text is not heading to a museum. Librarians in Leeds hope the Chained Bible will be read by both academics and everyday people.
